BE THE EMPLOYEE THAT GOD WANTS YOU TO BE

BE THE EMPLOYEE THAT GOD WANTS YOU TO BE

BE FOCUSED. Focus on rendering excellent service in the workplace. Ephesians 6:5 says, “be obedient to those who are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in the sincerity of your heart, as to Christ.” Rendering excellent service means obeying with fear and trembling and with sincerity of heart, as if we were working for Jesus.

BE CREDIBLE. Be credible at work and people will recognize your integrity. Matthew 5:20 says, “For I say to you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.” If there is integrity in your private life, there will be integrity in the workplace. If there is integrity in the workplace, you will be an asset to the company. If you are an asset to the company, you will be a credible witness for Christ as well.

BE EXCEPTIONAL. Be exceptional to the point that you are radically different in the eyes of everybody. Matthew 5:16 says, “Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” Raise the bar from good to great, from great to excellent, from excellent to exceptional! Matthew 5:48 says, “Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.” Be noticed not for who you are, but for Who is within you. Be Christ-like,

BE THE EMPLOYER THAT GOD WANTS YOU TO BE

BE CONCERNED ABOUT YOUR EMPLOYEE’s WELFARE. The best thing we can do for our workers, on top of providing godly leadership, is to be used by God to bring them to Christ.

BE AN INSPIRATION. Do not threaten or intimidate your employees, but rather, inspire them. Colossians 4:1 says, “Masters, grant to your slaves justice and fairness, knowing that you too have a Master in heaven.”

BE A GODLY MASTER BECAUSE GOD IS YOUR MASTER. Be submitted to Christ. Only those who are submitted to the lordship of Jesus would understand the perfect concept of authority and submission.

BE FAIR AND RIGHTEOUS. Ephesians 6:8 tells us, “knowing that whatever good thing each of one does, this he will receive back from the Lord, whether slave or free.” The apostle Paul in 1Timothy 5:21 further tells us, “I solemnly change you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus and of His chosen angels, to maintain these principles without bias, doing nothing in a spirit or partiality.”

Knowing these BE-attitudes, are you now ready to shine in the workplace?
